Can you hear, can you hear the thunder? That would be the group of adoring fans trying to get an eyeful of ravishing Rachel Avery. You may recognize her as Speedman Assistant in the movie Tropic Thunder (2008), starring Ben Stiller, Jack Black, and Robert Downey Jr., and written in part by Stiller and Justin Theroux (!), but this classic blonde beauty has other credits, too, that Mr. Skin finds fascinating. After pop-up parts in television series like Joan of Arcadia in 2003; Jake in Progress, Stacked, and soap opera Passions in 2005; and in two different roles in Scrubs in 2006 and 2007, Rachel hit it big as Rae in Big Love, the HBO series about polygamy. With little modesty, she emerges from the bathroom with a towel—but uses it to dry her hair instead of covering up, offering Bill Paxton and all of us a long look at her heavy, swinging breasts. Good stuff, right there. More TV bits were in Rachel’s future, including Reno 911!, State of Georgia, Film Permit Police, as well as the film The Giant Mechanical Man (2012) with Jenna Fischer, Malin Akerman, and a long-haired Topher Grace. A multi-talented kind of lady, Rachel also wrote, produced, directed, and starred in Wake Up America!in 2016, co-starring George Wendt and Alley Mills (Kevin’s Wonder Years mom). In addition to film and television, the Chicago-born, UCLA-degreed adorable actress is also a stage thespian who has appeared in Blanche and Re-Animator: The Musical, and developed a one-woman show that toured the world. Next stop? Mr. Skin’s sexy dreams.
